Review of Nosferatu (1922) by Sarfaraz A — 27 May 2012
It could have been Count Dracula, but the family of Bram Stoker refused the rights for the film, thus much of story had to be slight bit changed. Nosferatu, A Symphony of Horror. Count Orlok's (played by Max Schreck) getup in this silent-classic-horror film, is totally eerie and something that haunts me till this day, especially the shadow of Count Orlok on wall, when he is ascending stairs.
From the start till the end, it keeps you extremely within its grip. F.W. Murnau's Nosferatu is still the powerful horror film, that keeps inspiring horror movies to follow in its footsteps (though hardly few have succeeded).
