One star for the beautiful visual composition and one star for the pretty songs. Otherwise, a disjointed, illogical, why-the-F did they do this? headscratcher of a narrative that infuriates and bores in equal measures.
Maybe I just didn't get it but then I LOVE In The Mood For Love which it reminds me of and does it far better - fine line between that and Heartbeat Detector. Ignore the hype (from other film critics) and read the user comments on imdb instead.
