Review of Norwegian Wood (2010) by George A — 26 Jan 2012
If I hadn't read the book, I may have really liked this movie. The book (I hate to be obvious) is superior in almost every way: The film attempts to capture the ethereal mystique of Murakami's sentences but fails to match his imagery with actual images. Murakami is a writer's writer, in my opinion, and stories like his make for weak cinema.
I will end positively: it was perfectly cast.
