Review of Northanger Abbey (2007) by Michelle R — 20 Jan 2008
I am biased towards Northanger Abbey because it is my favorite Jane Austen novel. This version of the story perfectly captures the atmosphere of the work: fun and cheeky (naughty even!) but with that bit of drama that makes Jane Austin so effecting.
The cast is excellent too but the stand out is J.J. Field who, if given enough publicity, could become the next Colin Firth. A perfect spring time movie for bookworms and the hopelessly romantic.
