Review of North Country (2005) by Chris A — 13 Oct 2008
While my fianc´found the story anti-climactic, I thought this was an authentically told tale of a monumental shift in women's rights. I felt vast amounts of empathy for Lori's character. Also, the story of discrimination based on one's aesthetic makes on interesting twist that is often overlooked.
Just because she was beautiful, many assumed that she was also promiscuous. Well worth the watch.
