Review of North Country (2005) by Ws W — 27 May 2010
Haven't read the original book, but the film adapted screenplay is so unilateral, unconvincing, obscure; irrational & out of context especially for the court scene at the end which supposed to be prime of the whole movie.
Charlize Theron was nominated for the best actress in the leading role at Oscar 2006. In fact, either one of Theron, Felicity Huffman; or even Dame Judi Dench or Keira Knightley deserved an Oscar acclamation more than the colorless winner Reese Witherspoon by ã??Walk The Lineã??.
