Went to see "The Thirty-Nine Steps" in a satirical stage version at MTC in the afternoon. Then came home and enjoyed this gem. So many of the same themes revisited: kidnapping, a knife in the back, false accusation of murder, pursuit by biplane, plus some wonderful "vertiginous" camera shots! Thoroughly enjoyable!
