Review of North by Northwest (1959) by Mat T — 30 May 2011
Funny, suspenseful, action packed are all words that describe this wonderful Hitchcock film, starting the incredible Cary Grant and the fascinating Eva Marie Saint, both are gripping to watch on screen.
The plot and dialogue are such a treat, as I found myself throughout the film chuckling with glee over some really fun twists in the story, nothing was ever completely uncovered until the very end. For me the weakest part is the climax at the very end, which felt a bit overly dramatic and somewhat implausible (I thought Grant is an advertising executive, not to mention his clearly not as young as he use to be.
..), but it never stopped being a suspenseful, thrilling film.
