Review of North by Northwest (1959) by Gregg M — 26 Jun 2011
This is a film that truly does deserve a 100% rating it is so well crafted. From the very beginning you are hooked, and entranced by this exciting, charming, "spy" film.
Before I talk about the film itself I just have to say the Hitchcock really doesn't look like a guy that makes films especially ones like this, but the movies that he has made have all been referenced throughout many television shows and movies, and so many other sources of media that you just have to seek out his films.
Moving on with the film itself it stars Cary Grant as a man who is mistaken for a "super" spy, and when he tries to deny and explain the situation thats where events really start to spiral out of control.
This is a film that is so smart, and is definitely better than most modern spy thrillers even better than the bourne films.
I honestly don't think I've seen a better spy film than this one. You just have to see it.
