Review of North by Northwest (1959) by Jacob V — 14 Sep 2011
Hitchcock made many films, from 'Psycho' to 'Vertigo', which, in my opinion, is his best. But my favourite is 'North by Northwest'. Why? There's no big drama behind the scenes, no man possessed by his mother.
This is because this film is just plain fun- it's Hitchcock doing Hitchcock, the man wrongly accused. Full of excitement, iconic action scenes, and clever wit, this is my pick out of all the masters pictures.
