Review of North by Northwest (1959) by Maarten I — 18 Dec 2011
Epic, brilliant, exciting, romantic, sexy. You could run out of superlatives for this. Under suave in the dictionary is a picture of Cary Grant. Eva is gorgeous, Martin Landau and James Mason are suitably menacing and the whole script is wonderful.
The only slight disappointment is the dated effects at the end, but in the words of another classic 'Nobody's Perfect'.
