Wow! I had forgotten just how great this film is! There are so many memorable scenes; Thornhill's drink driving, the cornfield, the auction room, the finale on Mount Rushmore...I could go on. This isn't just Hitchcock's most exciting film, it's also his funniest.
Cary Grant is on startling form, particularly in the comic scenes i.e. the drink driving and subsequent arrest as well as the auction scene with Grant's heckling bidder. North by Northwest is Hitchcock's greatest thrill ride.
