Review of North by Northwest (1959) by Grayson S — 02 Jan 2013
Although it's long, NORTH BY NORTHWEST is entertaining throughout the entire film. Cary Grant gives a dazzling performance as Roger Thornhill (or George Kaplan), and Eva Marie Saint is equally good as the icy-cold blonde, but it is James Mason who gives it his all as the evil villain.
Directed wonderfully (no surprises there) by the great Alfred Hitchcock. This film is easy viewing if you enjoy a good action move, and seems to pass as a James Bond film. Anyone will enjoy this one.
