Review of North by Northwest (1959) by Adam C — 21 Jan 2013
Wow. A masterpiece. It's your classic Hitchcock suspense film, complete with a story about a guy mistaken for being a spy. Some of the best cinematography in a Hitchcock film -- Cary Grant being chased down by a plane; Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint escaping on the face of Mount Rushmore.
Movie moves slow at times while establishing the characters and providing the back story to the audience, but once the protagonist Roger Thornhill (Grant) starts putting two and two together, the movie takes off and gets very interesting.
