Review of North by Northwest (1959) by Jayakrishnan R — 29 Aug 2013
I kind of went through a little Hitchcock lull there for a while. Between 'Psycho', 'The Birds' and 'Rear Window', it's almost as if I had had enough. All were good in their own right, but I just never got jazzed up about seeing the rest of his collection.
Well, this movie kind of revived my longing to see more of his works. It's a nice thriller, with Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint pulling much of the weight. It's not completely captivating, but for the time, it was probably one of the more pulse-pounding thrillers out there, delivered by the intriguing Hitchcock himself.
