Review of North (2014) by Tyler E — 14 Dec 2012
Very very bad. I will admit that I did like it somewhat as a kid, simply because the idea of running away appealed to me for a long time, for the purpose of adventure, not to flee any bad experience I had at home.
Looking back though, this movie is incredibly unfunny and I'm really shocked TWO actors from Seinfeld (one of the funniest shows on TV, ever) found this script even remotely worthwhile. Shame on them for that.
It's not even a campy film: it is so devoid of life that I feel when watching it that I'm losing even more time then the movie runs at. Very depressing experience, and a really stinker of a role for Elijah Wood, who has done far better then this.
