Review of Normal Adolescent Behavior (2007) by Mary A — 14 Nov 2007
This movie is severely underrated. It's so refreshing to see a movie about smart teens who have sex without the creators feeling as if they must punish the teenagers for it. It's also not exploitative like most teen movies about sex and relationships. Amber Tamblyn shines as the lead character struggling between two worlds, proving her worth as a young, underappreciated actress. The supporting cast did quite nicely as well.
Overall, this film has a lot to say, both to teenagers and adults. Don't brush it aside because they played a watered-down version on Lifetime and it went straight to DVD. These things have more to do with the so-called controversial content than the quality.
And as a side note: This movie is not Havoc 2. The company decided to add that to the title because it would attract interest, but the director and all those involved in actual making of the film fought against it.
