Review of Norma Rae (1979) by Bob W — 16 Jun 2009
Sally Field's captivating and triumphant performance makes this movie enjoyable, if a wee bit too simplistic on the labor issues. I enjoyed the honest interplay between her and the union organizer as well as her husband.
one of my favorite bittersweet endings. It's interesting to watch this movie again so many years later; I wonder if a tale about the negative aspects of unions could be told with as much vigor.
