Review of Norbit (2007) by Jose M — 16 Mar 2011
Eddie Murphy is back in the world of comedy in top form with a movie that's both laughable warm-hearted. With his brazen gifts for mimicry, Eddie Murphy may now be the Peter Sellers of blockbuster toilet comedy movies. I was at least expecting Eddie Murphy to shine in his roles by adding a little bit of wit and humour but there was only a few moments of it. Although there's no denying the threadbare nature of the script, watching Murphy riff can be a formidable entertainment on its own.
VERDICT: "Matinée" - (Mixed reaction). These kinds of movies are usually movies that had some good things, but some bad things kept it from being amazing. This rating says to pay matinée prices to see at a theatre or buy an ex rental or a cheap price the DVD to own.
