Jordan Peele's take on the alien abduction subgenre of science fiction of horror is fantastic, and people should try to go into the movie as blind as possible. That said, the flashbacks about Ricky's past with the sitcom could be tied into the main plot a little clearer.
It is obviously the reason why Ricky wants to try to control the alien, but it would be better if it was a little clearer.
