Review of Non-Stop (2013) by Richard V — 19 Apr 2015
Non-Stop is fun popcorn action movie in the vein of Executive Decision and Flightplan. Liam Neeson, always the action hero, does great with this mystery thriller that actually thrills. Of course, it's silly and some things don't make any sense, from some people's motives to how the attack plays out, the response by the ground.
When the mystery is solved, you'll also scratch your head about the reasoning behind it, but it's provocative enough to work. There's also a great cast - including Julianne Moore and Corey Stoll - but they aren't as utilized as much as they should have been.
Still a bold attempt at mixing the typical airline hijacking action thriller with a Hitchcockian mystery.
