I was not familiar with the Kazakh tribal woes.The only thing I know is that they descend from Genghis Khan. The historical backdrop is interesting for those interested in history.Acting was not very moving, and Kuno Becker, who played Ablai, looks too American/western to pass for a Kazakh.
Jascon Scott Lee's narration pulled off the story together..Overall it is entertaining and got me googling for Ablai Khan..
