Review of Nomad (2007) by Christopher P — 05 Jun 2007
Nomad... Keep On Wandering.
When I saw the previews for this movie I was very excited... I love my sword and spear action movies.
This had a very close resemblance to a japanese samurai movie which I can't recall the title of.
The love story was predictable, the plot was slowww, and the shooting looked partially like a "Kazakhstan: The Epitome of a Good Vacation" video. There is a scene where they have about 150 horses on the screen running over a hill for a good minute... 60 seconds of long distance horse running... Despite the slowness there are some "cool" parts to the story. The action scenes few and far between are pretty decent.
My Favorite Scene: The hero is captured and runs a gauntlet of arrows that no one has ever survived and does alot of crazy footwork around his horse and blocking arrows with his shield... that scene is worth seeing.. download it but skip the rest.
Final Judgement: C- the aforementioned scene saved the movie from a D+ however save your money and see something decent instead.
