Review of Noise (2007) by Mike C — 15 Feb 2012
This is why I checkout imdb after watching every movie. I sometimes miss things. I already liked this very slow-paced thrilled about a mass killing on an Australian train, and the murder of a woman that may or may not be tied to the other murders. A cop, suffering from tinnitus (ringing of the ear), kinda falls in the middle.
I was already leaning towards an 8/10 just because I liked the movie. Reading a little bit, I decided it could be a 7/10. It's an Australian movie, so that means things won't necessarily be tied up, etc, like American movies require. I don't think I mind that unless it's just a complete waste of time. Then I stumbled upon one post that explains everything. This is a thriller, and the hints are very subtle and it turns out even smarter, but they are there and that actually pushes the movie towards brilliant.
