Review of Noel (2004) by W C — 31 Dec 2006
What a stupid, stupid movie, with some redeeming points. Sarandon and Williams were great actors. This is chock full of spoilers. It was weird, but not sci-fi / fantasy weird.
First of all, Paul walker is stalked by a old man that finds his apartment, comvinces him to let him in, and says that Paul is the reincarnated version of his dead wife, and Paul finds out that this old man also was insanely jealous of his own wife talking to other men.
Second, susan sarandon visits her mother in the hospital and also visits the man across the hallway because he has no visitors. She meets the man sitting in a chair in the same room, finds out he is an ex priest who didnt want to die lonely. She goes to commit suicide in a river and he is there to convince her not to, and goes home with her. She finds out it is the younger spirit of the man across the hallway...but yet he could leave a necklace of a cross at her house???
Third, my FAVORITE PART, is the guy who goes to have his hand purposefully broken so he could go to the hospital on Christmas because when he was 12 he had a fun party there.
Fourth is when Susan is walking down the street and walks into a strangers house Penelope is in, apparently Susan is a friend of "cousin Pedro". no other expanation.
This movie was actually a good laugh by the end because of these things.
The worst part of this movie is that it is rated PG. Not, not, NOT a kids movie.
