Review of Nocturnal Animals (2016) by Jenna G — 15 Jan 2017
This is a pretty weird movie. I think I liked it, but to be honest, I'm really not sure. I love Amy Adams, but the majority of her scenes revolves around her reading and what her reaction to her ex-husbands haunting manuscript is and what it is hinting about their relationship.
And she takes many a bath. Gyllenhaal has much more to do here. The manuscript side of the film is totally more interesting, but hard to watch, nonetheless. Michael Shannon is awesome, as usual. The film is really nice to look at.
It's just a weird movie. Watch and see what you think.
