Review of Nocturnal Animals (2016) by Geoff A — 04 Oct 2017
A true film noir, and it shows through from the gate (about that intro...). Amy Adams said it best in the movie itself: Devastating. And bizarre. Almost Kubrickian at times. Visually striking. The artworks that serve as thematic pieces throughout the film themselves are stunning, and add so much to its depth.
And I've always had a thing for Michael Shannon's acting. He's a quirky one, yes, but that's what makes his presence on screen so compelling.
