This film is absolutely one of the most stunning, sensitive, and artistically directed movies I've ever seen. Ford handles the intense subject matter with a? delicate hand, without manipulating for emotional effect.

The opening scene, with its seduction and obese nudity, brings the audience right to the center of subliminal judgment and rejection, a daring and brilliant introduction. The symbology and subtlety of the movie shines through in every scene.

The the pace brings depth but remains engaging, and the photography is so memorable that scenes continue to pop up in my mind's eye. Gyllenhall and Adams both deserve Oscars for their performance.

In summary, I recommend this movie highly for those who can peek into the Darkness and feel comforted by the shared and very human experience the film brings to us.
