Review of Nocturnal Animals (2016) by Joss R — 05 Sep 2017

I went into this film expecting one thing but ended up getting something totally different. This film is visually stunningly and very well shot, but genuinely hard to watch at times. As were taken through the novel the images we see are so real and well acted I personally felt so uncomfortable watching them, as I was imagining myself in that position and what my outcome would be.

That alone shows how well this film was acted and that goes across the board, there isn't one dull performance. The ending however, for me kind of made the film pointless which was disappointing. Still though, this film had me at the edge of my seat and is well worth a watch for what it does right.
