Review of Nobody Knows (2004) by Jíta V — 07 Apr 2009
I remember seeing it at the Filmfestival of Gent a few years back. The movie started an hour later than planned because of a technical error. Since we made plans to meet friends at the next screening we had to leave the theater early. The movie won first prize and was no doubt the best film played at the festival that year. Luckily thanks to winning it got a good distribution deal and I had the chance to watch it again on DVD.
This movie is "sugoi", amazing acting from the young cast. Very touching and even more so if you know it was based on real life events which ended up being a lot worse than the movie predicts. Highly recommended viewing.
