Another Darren Aronofsky classic! After finally getting the chance to watch "Noah" I say this is a work of art. Russell Crowe has never been better in the title role of the biblical figure "Noah," and Jennifer Connelly surprisingly gives a strong performance as Noah's wife which made me wonder while watching this movie why she doesn't do more movies.

She's fantastic. And a joy to watch on screen as not many actresses pull me the way she did in this movie. Ray Winstone also gives a very good and viscous supporting performance. Emma Watson also gives surprisingly good work in this also as the adopted daughter that Russell Crowe's character takes into his family after she is found wounded and the group she was with was scavenged and left for dead by another desperate group.

Also Anthony Hopkins as always is a great pleasure to have in the movies as he plays Noah's grandfather. He has a small role in the film, but more than enough for us Hopkins fans. This movie reminded me a lot of "The Lord of the Rings" movies which I'm sure to a lot of other people it will feel that way too, but don't let it stop you from watching, as this is a real treasure of a movie and Darren Aronofsky director of "Black Swan," and "Requiem for a Dream" proves why he is one of the best filmmakers in Hollywood right now.
