Review of Noah (2014) by Shannon B — 23 Dec 2018
The production values are unsurprisingly high. The story in this movie is close enough to the literary version that it is unmistakably the noah of the bible. However, it is terribly twisted. The screenwriter changed cruicial elements of the characters, story line and principles to create a fable teaching a completely different lesson.
If there were no historical story of noah, perhaps this narrative would be interesting. Since there is, it seems clear that this movie, at best, used the biblical story's fame and familiarity to bring an audience for this contrivance. two stars to acknowledge the great production values and acting.
