Review of Noah (2013) by Shannon S — 16 Sep 2014
Noah by Darren Aronofsky does not disappoint. I watched it mainly because I like this director ( The Black Swan, Pi) and because it pissed off the fundamentalists. I like the movie quite a lot. Its the best use of mythology which is to use it as a means to convey ideas and controversial opinions about the nature of reality.
Noah attempts to preserve the world from evil by annihilating the human race, only to carry the evil within him but also mercy and love. so that the next generation, far from being "chosen" will be the mixture of angel and devil which we all still carry within us.
I also liked the way "revelation" was presented and the way that humans can completely get it wrong.
