Review of Noah (2013) by Steve W — 13 Aug 2015
This isn't your usual Biblical adaptation. The deceptive trailers don't show the fantasy elements, but Darren Aronofsky's version of Noah is unique and fresh on its own. It combines an epic scope with fantastic visuals, and lots of fine performances as well.
Let's hope for more Biblical movies with cool battle scenes, there's plenty of source material. It is a polarizing movie for sure, but ultimately its well acted, score, shot, and well told. The only problem I could see was the pace in the third act, it got slow.
