Review of No Way Out (1987) by Daniel H — 31 Jul 2009
Overlong, intense, and decent enough thriller of the Secretary of Defense accidentally killing his mistress. An investigation/coverup is initiated, headed up Commander Farrell, who also happened to have been seeing the woman. Not only does Farrell's boss try to shield the Secretary by blaming it on a Russian spy, but Farrell realizes that his relationship to the woman will be discovered and that HE will be accused of being the Russian spy.
Nice look at the dynamics of Washington politics during the Cold War era.
