Review of No Way Out (1987) by Alvin Y — 20 Oct 2010
Wow! Amazing movie! This is what I called a mystery and suspense that adds up a complexity that again make our brains moving and thinking at the same time while this film is going on. Speaking of complexity, it takes a lot of time to develop a lot for this film to become so profoundly well done.
Also, having great performances here that are done by great actors, so this movie will also stick to their role as the film progresses. I also loved how the title of the film really defines to the character of Costner here, he is really on this web of danger that he can't really escape but then all in all the evidence and all the things would come back to Hackman's character.
Somehow, the beginning part was very slow because we could see their Costner and Young's relationship, for me that was still OK but when the suspense starts, I couldn't leave the TV and wanting more to expect.
This is really a movie where you know the plot, characters, setting, but don't know anything about how the film would show us this suspense. There is really âNo Way Outâ? for me to say this movie sucks, so then 5 stars.
