Review of No Tears for the Dead (2014) by L Y — 08 Nov 2015
Smooth operator.
A hitman is considering retiring when he accidentally kills a little girl during one of his missions. His next mission calls for him to kill the little girl's mother. He initially tries to execute the plan but quickly finds himself protecting her instead. Can the hit man prevent the gangster from accomplishing his goal of killing the mother?
"She's mine now, hero.".
Jeong-beom Lee, director of Cruel Winter Blues and The Man from Nowhere, delivers No Tears for the Dead. The storyline for this picture has some clever twists and turns and the action scenes are awesome. The acting is pretty good but the shootouts and action scenes contain the perfect amount of intensity and gore.
"If you want to catch a frog, you have to get mud on your feet.".
This was recently added to the Netflix online queue and grabbed my attention. I am glad I found this because this is an action movie junky's dream. The characters are also well written and the film ends wonderfully. I strongly recommend seeing this underrated gem.
"Honey, I'm home.".
Grade: B.
