Review of No Reservations (2007) by Jen R — 13 Jul 2009
Well it's always exciting & entertaining to watch a movie which involves cooking ! This one was no exception either.
The story was a little predictable with the involvement of the romance element.even though it worked partly to provide a good chemistry between zeta jones' character & Eckhart's.
Most impressive thing about it would have to be its setting in the restaurant & the chefs.
Speaking of perfomances- even though there were no complexities in this rather simple romantic kitchen drama but still then should mention afew things-.
Catherine Zeta-Jones-wow still is enigmatic & portrayed her character quite well but was quite over expressive.
Aaron Eckhart-Whenever you see this guy, he has this charm that somehow helps carrying the film..even with his funny pajamas in this one lol!
Patricia Clarkson-I've been watching most of her performances starting from "The green mile" she's pretty good in whatever character she chooses.
Abigail Breslin-quickly turning a major turnoff for me...I dont think would ever like her as an adult actress...pretty menacing..infact the only bad element for me in the movie...except some very high opera songs played at high volume!
