Review of No Good Deed (2014) by Jamess — 14 Sep 2014
While it's nice to see Idris Elba play evil instead of noble, this by-the-book thriller has cliches, coincidences and plotholes big enough to drive a hot wired vehicle through. To those who say, c'mon, it's a popcorn thriller to give you some suspenseful thrills, I say, it's hard to enjoy a movie when your brain is shouting, "THIS IS IMPLAUSIBLY STUPID!!" thoughout the film.
I could list all sorts of plotholes, but how about this for starters? MINOR SPOILER: A convict being tranported in Tennessee, violently escapes and ends up in Atlanta Georgia. How? By his charm and hot wiring skills? Barely worth a Redbox rental.
