Review of No Escape (2015) by Darren B — 28 Aug 2015
Tough to watch and some scenes were unbearable to see..
No Escape isn't going to win many over nor will do well at the box office. This is a movie that is far from perfect and lacks a stronger premise with clearer explanation. Owen Wilson & Lake Bell give their absolute all to this thinly scripted movie. I'd say it was their best work to date! The child actors fared equally as well in their roles.
Of course with every action/thriller there are.
Questions of plausibility - ie: the scene involving Jack (Owen Wilson) throwing his.
Kids from one rooftop to the other where his wife (Lake Bell) attempts to soften their landing. But regardless of that - and a few others - overall it was a truly harrowing intense action thriller. And even though it could have been something way better - it.
Didn't matter.
For what it was it was good. And in a month that lacks any really good movies this one made up for it just fine.
