Review of No End in Sight (2007) by Fabio M — 22 Dec 2007
Attempting to be apolitical and telling the story of Iraq from the inside - while interesting, honestly, it plays like a TV documentary. I'm not asking him to knock on peoples doors and rattle cages, but theres an extent of talking heads and archive footage of photographs I can stand.
Errol Morris knows how to handle that type of material and keep it entertaining, Charles Ferguson clearly doesn't - as such while recommended it would be a joke to hand this the Best Doc Oscar. I feel bad even rating it, because its like giving a score rating for the History Channel or CBC Newsworld.
