Review of No End in Sight (2007) by Jessica J — 02 Jan 2008
The most Patriotic film ever made. This documentary works because it is impossible to be opposed to what it is trying to say. Just try it! It's not possible. Sure, you could say that the film is "lying", but you can't make a valid argument to support this.
This film has interviews with people who were working inside the administration when the decision to go to the Iraq war was finalized. They knew all about the situation, they knew what the technical aspects of it were, and they mostly opposed it! Watching this film, I am reminded of the stupid traditions that are still continued, despite the fact that a lot of these traditions have been proven to be stupid.
Are people doomed to repeating the same idiotic actions over and over even though they've already been proven wrong about the same exact decisions? The problem is that sometimes they can mess something up so badly that it can be harder and harder to repair and stop the act.
It is simply atrocious that this war was allowed to happen. Do people have to resort to killing in order to stop something? Human life is fragile and incredibly precious, and there are way too many people in this world who don't even stop to take this into consideration.
Why do people have so little respect for human life? Better yet, why is it that people who realize this not stop the people who want to hurt and kill people? There is a lot of foolishness on both sides to this issue.
It's disappointing that this was not stopped just when it could have easily been. Why do people do these sorts of things? I think it's obviously because the human race doesn't know how to adapt to change and progress and because of this, they decide to oppose all who feel any sort of opinion against them for fear that they will agree with them.
Of course it's going to be impossible to stop this idiocy, but people who see this movie should certainly do their part in not being stupid. I have to say, it is incredibly difficult to not hate George W.
Bush after watching this. Its difficult because he is a man who simply cannot admit that his idea of what America should be is an incredibly flawed idea. It is flawed, not only because it has had rather little success, but because everybody realizes that his ideas are flawed.
The only reason why teenagers don't care about this stuff is because there isn't any draft. But how long will it be before we, as citizens, just let this sort of stupidity happen again? This film should be seen only to those who love America and care about it's growth and it's progress and it's future.
It is the most Patriotic film I have ever seen. See it and show it to everybody you know.
