Review of No End in Sight (2007) by Daniel M — 30 Jan 2008
'Catastrof*ck' is the word Jon Stewart has used to describe the situation in Iraq. It's an understatement. But Stewart comes closest, because you would have to invent the word to describe it; 'catastrophe,' 'debacle,' or 'quagmire,' as it was posed to Donald Rumsfeld during a press conference, don't cut it.
Charles Ferguson's Oscar-nominated 'No End in Sight' chronicles, with remarkable clarity and sober wisdom, how a series of breathtakingly stupid decisions, by the Bush administration and the inexperienced cronies who overruled seasoned experts, led Iraq irretrievably to disaster.
In the last year, there have been a lot of films made about the War on Terror and the War in Iraq. I've seen a lot of them. This is the best.
