Whether you're liberal, conservative, moderate or indffierent, SEE THIS FILM. No, it's not the best documentary ever made. The director doesn't put much out in terms of personal style, you won't see him in the frame, but try finding another documentary more poignant and more exacting than this one. This film dissects the Iraq war on every single level. From the ethical, moral, tactical, political, and economical aspects.

We all know the Iraq war was a mistake. But which of us actually knows the full and complete story? This is why I think films like these are soo important. A retelling of a war the way endless hours of CNN couldn't do. A retelling of a war that never should have ever happened and a war that provides insight to the weak infrastructure that exists within our government.

You find yourself bombarded with all the same images we've seen on newcasts but this time they'll be given different meaning.

Suprisingly, I thought this film would result in my complete and utter loss of faith in my government and my country but instead I find that last shred of faith re-instillled. This film shows you that in spite of all the numerous inadequacies and huge shortcomings of our govt, that there were and are people who honestly tried to do what those memorable Bush speeches claimed. What is heartbreaking though, is everything else. The major lack of communication on all levels (what kind of govt doesn't think to use translators for god's sake), the major lack of preparation (orha, need I say more), the use of media outlets to distort public percpetion, lack of experience experience experience (on alll levels), the general lack of common sense.

Americans always wonder why it is that pple around the world hate us so much but really, it isn't that much of a mystery when films like these blatantly spell it out for us.

The only ones to blame for "terrorists" and this "war on terror" is our country and govt itself. Whether pple decide to take notice or not, WE are creating a whole new breed of terrorists.
