Review of No End in Sight (2007) by Nikolus Z — 28 Jul 2008
Makes visceral the magnitude of failure, the depth of tragedy, and the incalculable suffering caused by the utterly inept and callous invasion of Iraq and its aftermath. It seems impossible to account for some motive behind this project beyond a deliberate attempt to destroy a culture and its people, and undoubtedly to profit off that destruction, though the film does not speculate about motives.
It merely reports, masterfully. This is exquisite filmmaking, this is the kind of reporting our country rarely sees, and this is probably the most important film for you to see this decade.
