Review of No Country for Old Men (2007) by Mira A — 20 May 2013
The Coen Bros. do it again, although it isn't as good as Fargo. Tommy Lee Jones is excellently understated but effective. Brolin is good, and obviously the gold (literally) goes to Javier. I still think about the coin flip scene over and over.
.. as for the ending, it's brilliant in the fact that it got everyone talking (and to the theatres no doubt). The theory that the entire film is a dream being had by Jones who's suffering from Alzheimers? Not sure about tha tone.
