Review of No Country for Old Men (2007) by Gabriel S — 22 Jun 2013
Javier Bardem delivers the performance of a lifetime in this masterpiece by the Cohen brothers. Bardem's portrayal of Anton Chigurh is absolutely terrifying, believable, and convincing. The violence may offend some, but I found it to never be senseless or needless.
A great deal of credit should, of course, be given to the author, Cormac McCarthy, as this is one of the greatest books to be written in the past twenty years.
