Review of No Country for Old Men (2007) by Lachlan D — 04 Nov 2013
We've all committed this crime at some point...seeing a stupid movie for the sole purpose of feeling happy, to escape from real life and live in a story that is totally incomprehensible but it doesn't matter because we feel squishy on the inside.
No Country for Old Men is the exact opposite of this. Nothing works out, nothing is ever concluded, no closure is felt by any of the major characters and most importantly things happen the way they would in real life.
Even if you find this film depressing and lacking in hope you have to admit it is a masterpiece.
