Review of No Country for Old Men (2007) by Charles R — 23 Nov 2013

This is one of those movies that has taken me forever to sit down to watch ....and... well, I'm still shellshocked. Javier Bardem is an unholy force of terror as Shigur, and Josh Brolin & TLJ? They've been waiting for this movie to come out since Cormac McCarthy first published the novel (nonetheless, they're perfect as the sometimes-wise, mostly contrarian 'good' men who try to keep their lives intact in the face of a psychotic killer).

I also want to mention that I love Kelly McDonald and am beginning to regard her as one of my favorites. *hats off* 5/5 As fine of an example of postmodernism in Americana cinema that you're liable to find coming out in any year, Coen Bros film-making at its best.
