Review of No Country for Old Men (2007) by Chanelle T — 29 Dec 2015
When I think "perfect movie", I think this one. Once you realize whose story this really is, a wealth of poignancy unravels before you. The pacing, the acting, the subtly - it's all there, but what never ceases to take my breath away is the Coen Brothers at their directing prime, bolstered by Deakins' beautiful cinematography that makes for a movie I could easily watch on mute.
This is my favorite movie, and I will gladly dissect it any time. It always brings me something new with each viewing.
